  • I’m So Sick Of Politics

Everyone is ranting and raving about the election of Brown, about Obama’s new budget, about healthcare.  Most of the people engaged in these conversations have no research – very few even watch five minutes of slanted cable news.  But yet each person feels they HAVE to have an unfounded opinion on EVERYTHING, and not only do they need to share it with EVERBODY, they have to drown out OTHERS by screaming loudest.

Here’s the truth: no one cares what you think.  Not really.  People who have the same conclusions as you will jump on that fact and use it to reinforce their egotistical opinions, but do they REALLY care what you have to say?  No.  And if they don’t agree with you, you might as well shut up your mouth and ears as the waves of propaganda beats the fight from you.

In fact, people don’t even care the platforms of politicians.  He’s black?  She’s a woman?  He’s republican?  She’s liberal?  He’s Christian?  They vote in masses.  How many of you loyal voters can name ONE legislation worked on by ONE senator, representative, or president you have voted for in the past four years?  How many can recount the issues and the politician’s stance?  How many of you watched Obama’s speech?  How many of you were too busy watching the KU/K-State game, or didn’t even know Obama WAS giving a speech?

I’ve lost friends, a boyfriend.  Grades from biased teachers, hours from opinionated managers.  Family connections. I’ve lost a lot for having well-founded opinions, and lost even more for trying to always evolve as I receive new information and engaged in conversations with others.

I’m a libertarian.  I don’t care if you are right or left, green or industrial.  As long as you have a researched opinion, or one based on your own experiences, I care enough to listen.  And if I don’t agree, I still respect you…

Sadly, I feel very alone in trying to respect real diversity.

In the end, it doesn’t matter.  No one cares what I think, and no one cares what you think either.

It’s all about who yells the loudest.

I’m done with politics - for today.

    May.

  • Inbreeding, fucking a bunch of prostitutes, saying witty one lines and cutting off any sort of true competition to prevent real issues from coming through, harmony or anything besides grabbing the most money possible?  Oh, yes, and working off two of the greatest sins humanity has ever known: love and faith for another.  Have faith in yourself.

People scream because they feel threatened and nobody is listening to them.  What makes them scared is what the genius up in the sky has placed into their hearts.

Get a gun and sleep well at night.  Form groups if you are paranoid.  You are probably inferior in the system and need to.  If you are afraid of Camp FEMA, then you are in the at-risk group and should prepare.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lstDdzedgcE It’s too late now.

You’re pretty, so they are probably irritated that you aren’t hooked on their opinions.

Nobody respects me, my facts or my opinions on anything or my silence.  I don’t care.

I don’t care what anybody thinks if the argument doesn’t serve a purpose besides some sort’of ego bashing to put me back on the floor where I dwell asleep.  I’m empirical, so I’m usually right unless I’m paranoid.  Paranoia has good reasoning.  If you can trace the source.

  • goodness, I HOPE it’s not all about who yells the loudest or Beck/Rush/O’Reilly really will have an unfair advantage@!

  • The empty cage rattles the most as they say.

  • How do you like the sequel?

  • i’ve been referred to as callous for taking the stances i do regardless if someone can argue with my reasoning.  i get tired of people taking my words out of context and attacking the straw man (this happens with both “left” and “right”) – but ultimately i quit caring because i realized nothing is going to be fixed or changed in my life time assuming current trends continue.  you just gotta live your life and damn anyone who gets in your way.  if more people had that attitude they might realize they don’t need some weasel of a politician to do what it is they want to do

  • “How many of you?”

Me! On all of them in rather silly detail. But then I’m a news junkie in the same way other people read people magazine and follow TMZ

  • IT seems that you are completely correct. I don’t exactly know what I am, I DO know that alot of my oppinions lean more Right… but, if I bring that up to “ANYONE” I get railroaded. I have had similar experiences with you there… with friends, etc. I asked a woman why she didn’t support something that Bush did, and all she did was yell and scream and ask me why I “DID”… I told her, and she essentially said, “Well, because of that, ONE person got sent to jail,” I was like “One person? Really? In the entire sea of people that this might save?” and she basically said, “I don’t think I need to be your friend anymore…” I cried for like two hours. She had never shown me this sort of disrespect…

I don’t understand it. I have friends who are GREEN, I have friends who are VERY liberal. We disagree… but why does my disagreement with you mean that you are NOT my friend? I don’t judge you or hate you for not thinking like me… It’s really just sad…

  • i’ve lost friends for becoming much more libertarian.  the others simply don’t bother hanging out anymore.  tolerance has a double meaning to some people sadly…

  • @And_I_love - LOL good ole Rush can certainly yell up a storm!

@FearlessMonstrosity - I’ve never heard that before, but it certainly is true…

@phantomFive - Oh my gosh I love it!  I have about 140 pages left and I’m hoping to tear through it tonight.  Well, to be honest, I liked the first one better, and this one barely has Rhett in it at all.  But I need a romantic ending lol even if I have to get through two books to find it.

@DarthPatriot - You sound just like my dad – and I mean no offense.  I’ve generally felt all my life that if you can’t respect me then screw you.  But that makes it very difficult to have friends…

    @trunthepaige - hahaha YAY I’M NOT ALONE!!!

@Winsa - I’m a little more right, too (parents are military, can’t help it).  It’s funny because we are the ones labeled haters most often, yet from my experience I’ve found right-leaning moderates to be much more reserved and less likely to blatantly attack others.  I’m glad you have friends from all spectrums – thats a true friendship lol.  As for the girl that flipped out on you, I can completely relate..

@DarthPatriot - Amen.  Anymore it’s “You MUST tolerate MY opinion – because YOURS is WRONG”.  Ick.  I hope you stick to your guns (no pun) with libertarian.  I’ve found it makes the most sense…

  • You’ve hit the mark… Sadly families can break up over politics.  I love hearing people’s view only if they aren’t extremist…  I care what you think and there are like minded people who do the same.  I hope you can spread your views because it is very respectable in a sense you seem tolerable of many other people’s beliefs?
